Our Story

The Beach Football League (BFL) is a professional beach football and entertainment property that combines fast-paced football, live entertainment, youth programming, and community engagement in iconic beach destinations across the country.

Founded by two-time Super Bowl Champion Tully Banta-Cain, the BFL creates unforgettable experiences where athletes, fans, brands, and communities come together through sport, culture, and competition.

Mission

To create a new version of football that can be played on any beach and where little to no equipment is needed.

To make football accessible to kids in all social classes everywhere. Our goal is to see the BFL become a Summer Olympic Sport.

Meet the Founder

Tully Banta-Cain is a two-time Super Bowl Champion, entrepreneur, and the visionary founder behind the Beach Football League (BFL).

After a dominant college career at UC Berkeley, Tully spent eight years in the NFL as a standout linebacker and pass-rusher for the New England Patriots and San Francisco 49ers. As a vital piece of the Patriots' legendary championship culture, Tully learned firsthand what it takes to build elite teams, drive high performance, and captivate millions of fans worldwide.

Driven by an lifelong passion for innovation and sports entertainment, Tully envisioned a brand-new platform that combines the high-octane energy of tackle football with the electric atmosphere of beach culture. The result is the BFL—the world’s first-ever professional, full-contact on-sand football league.

As Founder and CEO, Tully brings his championship DNA, elite athletic insight, and entrepreneurial grit to the sand. His mission is simple: to revolutionize modern sports, create an unmatched high-energy experience for fans, and give next-level athletes a thrilling new stage to showcase their talents.
